Don't Atrophy is a small personal project, not a company. This page describes what it actually keeps. Last reviewed 29 September 2026.
Nothing leaves your browser. Your schedule, reminder text, sound choice and completed-break history are kept in this browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes them permanently.
The app stores your email address, display name, a hashed password (never the password itself), your settings, and one row per break window with its timestamp, break type and whether you completed it. From those rows it derives your XP, level, streak and awards. If you join a group, it also stores which group you belong to.
Only you and the developer, who can technically read the database. Other people see your display name, weekly XP and completed-break count on the leaderboard; you can hide yourself with the leaderboard visibility switch in Settings. There are no ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking pixels.
If Google sign-in is enabled, Google tells the app your email address and name so it can create or find your account. Nothing is posted back to Google.
Profilehas a delete-account button. It removes your account, break history, XP and awards, and any group you own. Guest data is removed by clearing this site's data in your browser.
